  • 92nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs

Name: Tech. Sgt. Leonard D. Prince III

Unit: 92nd Maintenance Operations Squadron

Duty title: Knowledge Operations NCO in charge

What do you do on a daily basis at Fairchild Air Force Base? I teach the 92nd Maintenance Group personnel the importance and ease of the Records Management program. I also assist each office with rebuilding and maintaining their file plans. I use my experience, as a former Client Systems Technician, to provide both Basic End User Computer Support and Information Assurance Support to the group.

What do you enjoy about your job? Being able to use my computer skills to help people solve their computer issues. I also enjoy being an NCO. It gives me the opportunity to mentor the future leaders of the Air Force.

Why did you choose to serve in the military? I saw a jet fly over my house when I was five or six years old, and I said, "I don't know where that came from, but I want to be involved with it."

What goals do you want to achieve or meet while at Fairchild Air Force Base? I already met my first goal (My A+ Certification). My next goals are to get my Network+ & Security+ Certifications and my degree in Culinary Arts.

What is your favorite quote? "You can't lead if you don't know how to follow."

Who is your favorite mentor and what did you learn from him/her? My mom. She taught me the importance of accountability, resiliency, patience, generosity, respect for others, and how to survive in life.

If you could spend one hour with any person, who would it be and why? My baby sister. She died when I was seven, but played a huge part in my life. She touched the lives of so many people during her short lifetime and I would love to be able to thank her, in person, for it.
