A cut above the rest: Fairchild first rate in EPR/OPR timeliness Published March 4, 2013 By Scott King 92nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- It wasn't a surprise for the 92nd Force Support Squadron military personnel section when a 2013 first quarter report identified them as best in the Air Force for enlisted performance report and officer performance report timeliness -- they expect that from themselves. This news comes off the heels of the section winning the 2012 Gerrit D. Foster Outstanding Military Personnel Program at Air Mobility Command level. "We strive to deliver top-notch work here at the MPS," said 1st Lt. Michael Liechty, 92nd FSS MPS chief. "This recognition is a manifestation of the standard we hold our folks to -- our ship is not just afloat, it's ahead of other MPSs." Their statistics don't lie. Through 2012 and the first quarter of 2013, the section processed 2,600 reports achieving a 98 percent on time rate surpassing the AMC standard of 85 percent. They are able to do this for several reasons. "Our methods are pretty aggressive and unique to Fairchild," said Senior Airman Toneisha Wilson, 92nd FSS Force Management acting NCO in charge. "We send out a weekly mass e-mail identifying reports that are almost late and we actually follow that up with weekly phone calls pressing the units to get them in on time -- it's our personal touch that helps." Integral to the Wing's success are all the commanders and supervisors in the wing who have leaned forward to accomplish the reports in a timely matter, providing feedback to Fairchild on time, all the time. The Wing's tenacious work ethic has caught the attention of wing leadership . "The 92nd's military personnel section and our superb Fairchild leadership exemplify our standard of Fairchild First Class,'" said Col. Brian Newberry, 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander. "We excel at our mission because we focus on our people. As a team, we share Gen. Mur S. Fairchild's vision: "We cannot for one moment relax because of past achievements...either we go out to meet the future or it comes to seek us out." We will continue to build on our recent successes so that the future will be as successful as our recent past."
