When Senior NCOs of the Top 3 launched a professional development class for NCOs last month, they didn't expect 40 participants or for March's class to already be filled.

"No one person has the answers to every question, but collectively the Top 3 has years of experience in countless areas," said Senior Master Sgt. Eryn McElroy, base career assistance advisor assigned to the 92nd Force Support Squadron. "We decided to create a monthly venue where these ideas and information could be shared with everyone."

The first class called 'change management,' which explored how to implement new standards or changes into an organization, received a lot of positive feedback.

"Anyone can talk to slides, but I shared my own success and failures - what I had done that worked and what didn't," said Senior Master Sgt. Ryan Howe, superintendent, 92nd Contracting Squadron, who helped developed the lesson plan for this new Fairchild Top 3 initiative.

Topics and presenters have already been solidified through the spring and the Top 3 will continue to pull from its ranks the most dynamic presenters.

McElroy said the Top 3 is pushing information about future classes and how to do the online registration through first sergeants. The April class will be about military writing. Members wishing to make request for particular professional development topics should email the base career assistance advisor directly.
