The 92nd Medical Group here changed clinic locations for patients to align with the Air Force Medical Service and Defense Health Agency reforms June 18.

All active duty service members will be seen on the first floor of the Fairchild medical treatment facility, while all non-active duty patients, active duty family members, retirees, retiree’s dependents, and those with TRICARE Plus will move to the second floor.

“This is an alignment with the DHA and AFMS guidelines for the way forward,” said Capt. Scott Nicol 92nd MDG practice manager. “Last summer we did some squadron reform, as you may have noticed, now we have the new Operational Medical Readiness Squadron. This [change] is just a subsequent alignment with that same reform that we did last year.”

The changing of locations allows active duty Airmen to access their primary care providers from the Warfighter Clinic and Flight Medicine in one convenient location.

“Instead of having Flight Medicine and the Warfighter Clinic in separate sections, they are going to come together and become the Operational Medicine Flight,” Nicol Said. “These changes, in line with the reform guidance, focuses on improving Airmen medical readiness to better support the mission.”

The 92nd MDG is streamlining their service for active duty personnel into one place to improve efficiency, to invest in Airmen readiness, and better serve the mission set.

“This change is further aligning the 92 MDG with the DHA and Air Force’s focus on operational readiness by optimizing our services for active duty,” said Lt Col Brett Linck, 92nd OMRS commander. “We can serve our Airmen better by combining our cadre of health professionals dedicated to the unique needs of all active duty, that includes things like profiles, waivers, and deployment requirements.”

All beneficiaries impacted by a Primary Care Manager change will receive a letter from TRICARE with additional information.
