During the month of February 2019, commanders used the following actions as means of punishment, rehabilitation, and maintaining good order and discipline.

NONJUDICIAL PUNISHMENT (ARTICLE 15)

92d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

An Airman First Class received nonjudical punishment after a random urinalysis revealed the Airman First Class used Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), in violation of Article 112a, UCMJ. THC is commonly found in marijuana. After a random urinalysis, results revealed that the member had 27 nanograms (ng) per milliliter (ml) of THC in his urine. The DOD's cut-off level for THC is 15 ng/ml. This member's punishment consisted of a reduction to the grade of Airman, suspended forfeiture of $942.00 pay per month for one month, seven days extra duty, and a reprimand.

An Airman First Class received nonjudical punishment for use of cocaine, a Schedule II controlled substance, in violation of Article 112a, UCMJ. After a random
urinalysis, results revealed that the member had 139 ng/ml of cocaine in their urine. The DO D's cut-off level for cocaine is 100 ng/ml. This member's punishment consisted of a reduction to the grade of Airman Basic, suspended forfeiture of $840.00 pay per month for two months, suspended restriction to the limits of Fairchild Air Force Base for 30 days, and a reprimand.

92d Civil Engineer Squadron

A Senior Airman received nonjudical punishment for driving while drunk, in violation of Article 111, UCMJ and for being drunk on duty, in violation of Article 112, UCMJ. The Senior Airman drove to work and seemed to be impaired. A breathalyzer test revealed the alcohol concentration in the Senior Airman breath was 0.182. The legal limit for driving is 0.08. This member's punishment consisted of a reduction to Airman First Class, suspended forfeiture of $1,116.00 pay per month for two months, and a reprimand.

92d Logistic Readiness Squadron

A Technical Sergeant received nonjudical punishment for a dereliction of duty, in violation of Article 92, UCMJ, and adultery, in violation of Article 134, UCMJ. Specifically, this member was deployed and violated the visitation policy while engaging in an unprofessional and adulterous relationship with a lower ranking member. This member's punishment consisted of a suspended reduction to the grade of Staff Sergeant and a reprimand.

INVOLUNTARY SEPARATION ACTIONS

During February 2019, three Airman were involuntarily discharged for drug abuse.

22d Training Squadron

A Senior Airman was separated for misconduct: drug abuse. In October 2018, this Airman was punished under Article 15, UCMJ for wrongfully using cocaine. This member's punishment consisted of reduction to E-2, suspended forfeiture of $918.00 pay per month for two months, and a reprimand. The separation authority, 92 ARW/CC, directed his separation with an Under Honorable Conditions (General) discharge. Moreover, as a result of this discharge characterization, all G.I. Bill benefits were forfeited.

UPCOMING COURTS-MARTIAL

Courts-martial are open to the public. Members of the military and civilian community are welcome to observe open proceedings. Courts-martial at Fairchild AFB are held in the courtroom on the first floor of the Wing Headquarters Building. Cases usually begin around 0830 hours and recess around 1630 hours.
