PHOTOS: Team Fairchild Hosts Retiree Appreciation Day
Airman 1st Class Jomelle Dionisio, a crew chief assigned to the 92nd Maintenance Squadron, sings the national anthem during the opening ceremony of a retiree appreciation day event at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, Oct. 5, 2023. Team Fairchild dedicated this day to those who have served and are now veterans of the U.S. military. This event included an opening ceremony with a presentation of colors provided by the Fairchild Honor Guard, free merchandise for veterans, and briefings about various topics including Tricare benefits, veterans affairs and casualty affairs. These events are meant to recognize and celebrate the service that retirees have given to the country as well as to brief retirees and their families on the current status of benefits and programs that they are entitled to.
