Anesthesia procedures
"Hero" the dummy training dog, is used to demonstrate how to properly intubate a patient who is undergoing general anesthesia, July 27, 2017, at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. Once the animal is intubated their heart and respiratory rate, blood oxygenation rate and carbon dioxide levels are monitored to make sure they're not too excessively sedated during surgery.
