COLONEL MICHAEL J. JOHNSON

Col Michael J. Johnson is the Commander, 92d Mission Support Group at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. He leads over 1,200 personnel delivering the installation and mission support activities including security forces, civil engineering, force support, contracting, communications and logistics readiness. Additionally, he is responsible for supporting the 92d Air Refueling Wing’s Air Expeditionary Force contribution through personnel and equipment readiness.

Colonel Johnson entered the Air Force in February 1995 as a graduate of the Reserve Officer Training Corps at the Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Virginia. He has served as a Deputy Mission Support Group Commander, two-time Civil Engineer Squadron Commander, deployed Civil Engineer Squadron Commander, Headquarters Air Force Deputy Division Chief, and two-time Headquarters Air Force Branch Chief. His support to global contingency operations spans Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, UNIFIED RESPONSE, ODYSSEY DAWN and TOMODACHI. Colonel Johnson is married with two children.
