Chief Master Sergeant LINDSAY S. MOON

Chief Master Sergeant Lindsay S. Moon performs roles and responsibilities as Command Chief, 92d Air Refueling Wing, Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, advising the Commander on organizing, training and equipping 4,450 Airmen who provide global reach and air-power through the employment of 61 KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft in support of worldwide combat, contingency, and humanitarian requirements, As the installation Command Chief, he enables the activities and assigned functions of Fairchild Air Force base, and support to 18 associate units.

Chief Moon entered the Air Force in 2002 from his hometown of Spokane, Washington. His career includes numerous assignments in wing scheduling and execution, aircrew training, standards and evaluations, developmental flight test refueling, operations group training, squadron superintendent, 1A0 Chief Enlisted manager, and group senior enlisted leader. he has deployed numerous times in support of the Global War on Terror where he amassed over 130 combat missions and served as Air Expeditionary Group Senior Enlisted Leader. Additionally, as a developmental flight test boom operator, he accomplished over 160 air refueling flight test missions, to include the initial refueling of the first low-rate initial production F-35A, and the first ever, high risk refueling by a KC-46A. Furthermore, he was hand-selected to stand up the first international Boom Operator exchange, where he served for three years as the sole USAF enlisted member advising the Royal Australian Air Force during initial stand-up of the KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker/Transport (MRTT) refueling program . He is a qualified boom operator with over 4,300 hours on three tanker platforms.

Now serving the 10,000 members of Team Fairchild, Chief Moon continues to build the next generations of leaders. He consistently engages with base and community organizations to identify the needs of the Total Force and bring them necessary support to execute Global Reach operations...
