8/29/2012 - FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- More than 30 Airmen from the 141st Civil Engineer Squadron returned home after a six-month deployment to Afghanistan Aug. 27.
The Airmen were stationed throughout the country to various installations, outposts and provincial reconstruction teams.
Their primary mission was to build and improve temporary facilities for Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines stationed there. The Airmen also worked with local Afghan leaders to help communities build necessary infrastructure, like roads, schools and water wells.
