Reason for nomination: While working in the customer service section, Irving tracked 6,700 work orders valued at more than $109 million. His meticulous management ensured requests were submitted correctly. In-progress work was managed accurately and was instrumental in accomplishing the highest completion rate in the last 10 years synchronizing labor and expenditures for $3.4 billion in base infrastructure.
Additionally, Irving provided flawless management and controller service for two geographically separated airfields, executing equipment and labor tracking for more than 200 personnel. His efforts guaranteed Fairchild's $44 million runway project finished on time and personnel deployed to both locations received the same support as on base personnel.
His drive for self-improvement was evident by the completion of his career development course and all core tasks ahead schedule resulting in his 5-skill level. Irving has since completed several college-level courses through Spokane Falls Community College. His aspiration has propelled him ahead of his peers as he is only three semester classes away from his Community College of the Air Force degree. |
