92nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs
6/5/2012 - MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. -- On Memorial Day, members of Team Fairchild and the local community came out to remember those who have served their country here May 28.
This year marked the second annual Memorial Day ceremony at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake.
Memorial Day recognizes the men and women with have died while serving in the United States' Armed Forces.
The ceremony was comprised of a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter fly-over, a speech from the 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander, Col. Paul Guemmer, and all the traditional Memorial Day moments including a rifle salute, the playing of taps and bagpipes playing Amazing Grace.
President John F. Kennedy said, " Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty."
