92nd MDG hands reigns to new commander

FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- Col. Michaelle Guerrero assumed command of the 92nd Medical Group from Col. Meg Carey during a ceremony June 16.
Guerrero joins Team Fairchild after serving as the Aeromedical Evacuation and Medical Readiness Plans Division chief, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

“It is truly and honor to join Team Fairchild and I look forward to working with and alongside each of you in the coming weeks and months,” Guerrero said.

Guerrero entered active duty in 1993 upon graduation from the United States Air Force Academy.

She has deployed as a commander in Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, as well as, in various aeromedical evacuation roles for Operations SOUTHERN WATCH and IRAQI FREEDOM and multiple Homeland Support contingencies. She is board-certified with the Health Information Management and Systems Society, has held a variety of positions in information systems, plans and programs, medical readiness, and aeromedical evacuation at the squadron, group, major command and headquarters levels.

“It is my opinion that to command is to serve,” Guerrero said.
