    Airmen, families learn about education opportunities at 2018 Education Fair

    Fairchild’s Education Center hosted the 2018 Fairchild Air Force Base Education Fair Oct. 18, allowing Airmen to meet with representatives from multiple colleges and universities. The Education Fair is an annual event that enables Airmen to ask questions and learn about the variety of educational opportunities available, admission processes, financial aid and military education benefits.

    Fairchild Airman finds error in ICODES, increasing mission efficiency

    Staff Sgt. Daniel Clanton, 92nd Logistics Readiness Squadron Air Transportation Operations supervisor, discovered that the “palletized cargo measuring algorithm” within ICODES, which measures the ability for cargo to be loaded onto an aircraft, was incorrect.

    Fairchild hosts CMSAF Binnicker 9K Memorial Run

    Airmen and civilian members participated in the CMSAF Binnicker 9K Memorial Run benefitting the Air Force Enlisted Village at Miller Park here Sept. 22, 2018. The Air Force Sergeant’s Association hosted the event in honor of Chief Master Sgt. James Binncker, who served as the ninth Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force, was the CEO of the Air Force Enlisted Village from 2000 through 2015 and is credited for building the foundation of what the AFEV stands for.

    MWD training takes flight

    Throughout the month of August, the 92nd Security Forces Squadron MWD section trained with the 36th Rescue Squadron to learn and become familiar with the components of a huey aircraft in preparation for deployment missions.
