Fairchild Airmen participated in the Wing Morale Golf Tournament Aug. 14, 2015, at Qualchan Golf Course in Spokane, Washington.

More than 130 people partook in golfing in order to build morale, communication and camaraderie. Not only did Airmen play golf, but there was a raffle drawing of prizes including concert tickets, gift cards, a golf club, a golf bag and a new barbeque grill for one lucky winner.

The tournament was intended to boost the morale of Fairchild's Airmen by providing them a day of fun outside the office, off the flightline and outside the shop.

After the raffle was held, Col. Brain McDaniel, 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander, pulled out an Air Force coin and prompted the attendees to do the same. He reminded them that the wing is going back to the basics, and as a result of their work they get to play hard, referencing the Wing Morale Golf Tournament and upcoming Wingman Day. McDaniel encouraged attendees to keep their coins handy, as it is an Air Force tradition that needs to be carried on.
