Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., and the surrounding area is host to a variety of aviation activities. Military training, commercial airline operations, parachute jumping and general aviation all take place within a relatively small volume of airspace. It is every pilot's responsibility to be aware of the hazards that exist in this environment and to do all they can to minimize risks. The 92nd Air Refueling Wing Safety Office has put together this brochure to highlight potentially hazardous areas of operation and to provide both civil and military pilots a common knowledge base. The 92 ARW Safety Office can be reached at (509) 247-4736.
