Sheet Metal

Airman 1st Class Kevin McGeary, 92nd Maintenance Squadron aircraft structural maintenance journeyman, conducts a drain screw nut plate replacement on a non-flush patch May 10, 2017, Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. A frequent issue the sheet metal shop faces is corrosion. When moisture builds up in different areas of the plane it causes corrosion that damages the plane and when exposed for a long enough period of time causes the metal to crack.
