Unit of assignment: 92nd Logistic Readiness Squadron

Nominee’s duty title: NCO in charge Flight Service Center

What do you do on a daily basis at Fairchild AFB?
I keep track of serviceable and unserviceable aircraft parts using the due-listing from the maintenance group, as well as monitor the wing’s Time Compliance Technical Order and Wheel and Tire programs.
We research and process these parts for maintenance teams to expedite depot-level repair and ensure our KC-135s have the right parts at the right time.
My team closely works with our 141st Air Refueling Wing counterparts to manage the wing’s Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Services program.
We work with base customers to ensure their condemned and scrap materials are processed into the DLA system and then transported to Joint-Base Ft. Lewis-McChord.

What do you enjoy about your job?
I really enjoy researching, identifying and fixing errors when maintainers have issues with turning in repairable or condemned aircraft parts. Rarely is one problem the same, which makes my job challenging.

Why did you choose to serve in the military?
I choose to serve in order to better provide for my family and have a way to pay for my daughter’s education.

Family?
My wife and daughter.

How long have you been in the military?
Seven years.

What is your greatest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment was becoming a father.

What goals do you want to achieve or meet while at Fairchild AFB?
I would like to finish my schooling for cyber security and get selected for a Developmental Special Duty position.

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy spending time with my family, football, reading and video games.

What is your best habit?
Being organized.

What is your favorite quote?
“You should enjoy the little detours to the fullest, because that’s where you’ll find the things more important than what you want.” – Unknown.

What are your favorite movies?
Anything involving action or suspense.

Who is your favorite mentor and what did you learn from him/her?
My father. He taught me how to be honest and work hard to take care of my family.

If you could spend one hour with any person, who would it be and why?
I would like to spend one hour with my uncle James. He passed away in 2015, and I would like to catch up and have him meet my daughter.

What SSgt. Paige’s leadership is saying:
“Staff Sgt. Paige is an awesome NCO who has a very bright future ahead of him. He impresses me on a daily basis as he’s taken on and run with several high-level programs which typically would be reserved for a Tech. Sgt. He understands the big picture, and it’s exciting to watch him in action. Brandon will excel in any position you put him in … that is just who he is,” said Senior Master Sgt. Jeremy Heideman.
