This thank-you letter was sent to the e-Connection office from Mike Gregoire, father of Jordan Gregoire. The 36th Rescue Flight saved Jordan March 10 after he got lost and went missing for about 10 hours during a ski trip at Schweitzer Ski Resort in northern Idaho. The 36th rescue crew found Jordan unhurt and returned him to his family.
My name is Mike Gregoire and it was my son Jordan that the 36th RQF helicopter crew rescued from the Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort in north Idaho last Sunday night / Monday morning.

My entire family cannot possibly thank the rescue crew enough for safely returning Jordan to us. The intense rush of emotions felt by each of us and our friends upon hearing that Jordan had been found alive and safe will never be forgotten. Jordan's return to us will be one of the greatest gifts we will ever receive.

To 1st Lt. Duke Warner, aircraft commander; Capt. Geoffrey Petyak, co-pilot; Tech. Sgt. Jason Oldenburg, independent-duty medical technician; and Staff Sgt. Jonathan Hill, flight engineer we wish to express our immense gratitude and respect. Your skills, abilities and professional demeanor made Jordan's safe return possible. Thank you so much.

We dearly thank everyone involved in this effort: mission control personnel, flight control personnel, ground crew personnel and all of the people involved in this mission whose names we do not know.

You all brought us the greatest joy at the very moment we feared the worst.

With the greatest respect and admiration,

Mike Gregoire
