Rank and Name: Senior Airman Kyle Boddie

Unit of assignment: 92nd Operation Support Squadron

Duty title: Aircrew flight equipment

What do you do on a daily basis at Fairchild AFB?
I work out, do my job and play squadron sports

What do you enjoy about your job?
I enjoy being able to meet new people and knowing I’m working on equipment that will potentially save someone’s life.

Why did you choose to serve in the military?
To help everyone around me and ask nothing but a smile in return.

Family?
I have three brothers (John, Justin, Arthell), five sisters (Dorthy, Danyelle, Alyssa, Alexis, Jasmine) , my mother (Nina) and Father (Tommie Jr.)

How long have you been in the military?
Three and a half years

What is your greatest accomplishment?
Having the opportunity to deploy and really see how my job is important and to be awarded the AF Outstanding Unit Award while deployed.

What goals do you want to achieve or meet while at Fairchild AFB?
To leave a good name for myself in my job and being an involved member on this base.

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy bodybuilding, any kind of sport with a ball and cooking.

What is your best habit?
Not giving up on anything that is in front of me.

What are your favorite movies?
“Pay it Forward”.

Who is your favorite mentor and what did you learn from them?
My uncle is probably my best mentor. He showed me if you work hard for something, you will achieve it, because nothing in life is better than when it is earned.

If you could spend one hour with any person, who would it be and why?
Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force James Cody. The only reason why I say him is because of his major success and I would like to pick someone’s mind who has worked hard for their position, see how they got there from a personal aspect and also see what obstacles they had to hurdle over while on their path to success.

What Senior Airmen Boddie’s leadership is saying:
“Senior Airman Boddie was picked as Aircrew Flight Equipment’s selection for Fairchild’s best due to him being one of the best and brightest Airman in our entire wing. Boddie has been an exceptional Airman since day one through his dedication to his craft, volunteerism and base organizations. Boddie has performed at an NCO level from the time he pinned on senior airman. His exceptional work ethic, selfless nature, and high character resulted in him being selected as a finalist for a position with the Thunderbirds. If selected for job the Thunderbirds will truly receive one of Fairchild’s Best!” said Tech. Sgt Tavares Bradley, 92nd OSS, AFE flight chief.
