Fairchild opened a Respiratory Clinic in the 92nd Medical Group for Coronavirus-19 testing, Oct. 19, 2020.

The Respiratory Clinic is open to Airmen and their families looking to get tested for COVID-19, and if they test negative, get proper treatment for their symptoms despite not having the disease.

“Testing our patients here is a priority, but we want to make sure we are able to help those who don’t feel well also,” said Staff Sgt. Parker Miller, 92nd MDG Respiratory Clinic flight medical assistant. “We want to ensure everyone here receives proper care, and leaves knowing they have something to help them feel better.”

In addition, the clinic will also test patients that may not show any symptoms, but still require a negative test.

“The appointments in the afternoon are for those that are asymptomatic people,” said Capt. Melissa Cadorette, 92nd MDG Respiratory Clinic flight commander. “The afternoon appointments are for the people that come into close contact with someone that has tested positive for COVID or need to test prior to surgery or a temporary duty travel.”

With the potential of several different COVID-19 infected people coming into the clinic, Airmen are taking several steps to ensure the safety of Airmen and patients.

“It’s about our Airmen, our patrons and taking care of them,” Miller said. “We don’t use the same room back-to-back, we cycle through rooms, disinfect all of the rooms and have a dwell time between each patient to make sure there is enough time for the disinfectant to work.”

With the opening of the new Respiratory Clinic, the 92nd MDG and Team Fairchild are able to ensure high quality care for all Airmen, Families and retirees, while enhancing both quality of life and service.

The clinic is open Monday - Friday, morning appointments are from 8 a.m.- 11 a.m. Afternoon appointments are Monday – Friday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. All appointments can be scheduled through the 92nd MDG appointment line at (509) 247-2361.
