A klaxon abruptly sounds; proceeding, dozens of aircrew and maintainers charged out onto the flightline within seconds, beelining to the waiting aircraft.

The purpose of the Honorary Commander program was created to partner with and educate influential members of the community - like business leaders, chamber of commerce members and others - on the similarities and differences of military and civilian operations. The program brings together leaders from the military and civilian communities in an informal program designed to continue to foster mutual understanding and establish bonds of friendship. Eleven honorary commanders were welcomed and inducted into the base's Honorary Commander program during a ceremony Nov. 17.

On Jan. 1, 2018, there are a number of changes coming to your TRICARE benefit. This includes a change to the current TRICARE regions. The current three regions (North, South and West) will become two regions (East and West). There will be new regional contractors for the new East and West regions.
